Neighbourhood policing

In an emergency dial 999. For all other enquiries dial 101

Corsham’s Neighbourhood Policing Team is now based at Springfield Community Campus. Three Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) work a variable shift pattern covering days and late evenings.

PCSOs are members of support staff employed, directed and managed by their police force. They will work to complement and support regular police officers, providing a visible and accessible uniformed presence to improve the quality of life in the community and offer greater public reassurance.  PCSOs are not replacement police officers but are there to address some of the tasks that do not require the experience or powers held by police officers, which often take officers away from more appropriate duties.

Find out more about policing in the Corsham area from the Neighbourhood Policing Team.

During campus opening hours, the public can:

• Get information about Wiltshire Police services
• Contact or leave a message for the local neighbourhood policing team (NPT)
• Pass on information to the local NPT
• Hand in items of lost property and get reference numbers
• Use the yellow Police phone to report crime

PCSOs will not be able to assist with:

• People reporting on bail
• Production of vehicle documentation
• Recording of road traffic collisions
• Any motor vehicle issues
• Receiving firearms – these will need to be handed into Melksham Police Station
• Immigration issues and enquiries – including registration
• Sex offenders registration

If your enquiry cannot be dealt with at the campus, you will be directed to the nearest Wiltshire Police enquiry office located in:
Chippenham, Melksham, Marlborough, Salisbury, Swindon Gablecross and Trowbridge.

You will also be offered access to a telephone so that you can contact the relevant enquiry office direct.
